traditional chinese
you can check whether you have some traditional chinese fonts in the commonly used legacy encoding big5 available to your x-server with:
~$ xlsfonts |grep big5
the standard x-distribution does not yet contain any big5 fonts. if you need big5 fonts you have to install additional font packages.
